Construction products certification
Certification outputs provide an important basis for issuing the Declaration of Performance, for placing products on the market, and their use in the construction industry.
Construction products certification is performed pursuant to Act no. 133/2013 Coll. or Regulation no. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
Our services include the assessment and verification of the constancy of parameters valid in Slovakia and the European Union (harmonized field, CE marking). We provide certification services for the following products in particular:
- Doors and gates
- Windows
- Suspended ceiling systems for indoor and outdoor ceilings
- Products for fire protection or improving fire resistance, especially paints, coatings and paneling
- Fire dampers
- Fire stoppings in walls and ceilings around cable and pipe penetrations
- Linear joint seals
- Smoke and heat exhaust systems and their components, especially smoke barriers, smoke dampers, and natural and forced heat and smoke exhaust ventilation units
Our Product Certification Body also provides voluntary certification valid in Dubai, which involves the performance assessment procedure and the procedure for attesting the conformity of the production management system according to the requirements of our customer, including the option to use a technical specification or a combination of technical specifications. However, this kind of certification is not subject to the Act of the National Council of the Slovak Republic no. 133/2013 Coll. on construction products, as amended, pursuant to Act no. 91/2016 Coll., or the CPR Regulation.

Below are the most frequently asked questions about our services.
The process of product classification and certification starts by submitting technical documentation and all the required supporting documentation. Once the required test and assessments are performed, we prepare a test report as well as a classification report. Depending on the product type we determine whether it is possible to issue a certificate or whether a declaration of parameters will be sufficient.
Test reports have indefinite validity; the results are relevant as long as the tested product complies with the requirements of the respective testing standard.
Classification protocols remain valid unless the product itself, the area of use and standards of classification change.
Certificates issued by our authorized/notified body typically have no fixed validity period. Their validity is subject to the condition that the construction product, manufacturing process, and production management system remain in compliance with the requirements of the applicable legislation, technical specifications, harmonized standards, or technical assessments. At the same time, it is required to successfully pass the continuous surveillance carried out by an authorized or notified body according to the relevant assessment system. The certificate can be updated, suspended or revoked in case of a change in the product or manufacturing process, technical regulations or non-compliance of surveillance requirements.
Our documents are recognized within the EU, and in the case of certain products type in Qatar and United Arabic Emirates. For other countries, we suggest you verify their acceptance status, since countries outside the EU may require testing to be done in compliance with other than European norms.
