Technical Assessment Body
As a Technical Assessment Body, we perform technical assessments of construction products in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Technical assessments serve as the basis for preparing the Declaration of Performance and the CE product marking, as well as for placing the product on the market in our national system.
Technical assessment of construction products
We issue technical assessments for selected construction products that are not subject to harmonized technical specifications or specified standards. This procedure allows us to evaluate properties of a product and establish a basis for placing it on the market.
As an authorized person for technical assessment, we are authorized to issue Slovak (SK) technical assessment, and as a Technical Assessment Body (TAB) we issue European Technical Assessments (ETA) for products without a harmonized European standard or a specific norm.
Technical Assessment is a documented assessment of the performance of essential properties of a construction product (expressed as numerical values in levels, threshold values in classes or by their description) from the perspective of their impact on at least one fundamental requirement for buildings.
SK technical assessment is issued in cases were the product that the producer intends to place on the Slovak market is not subject to a harmonized European standard, ETA or a specific standard. Slovak technical assessment is issued in Slovak language. European Technical Assessments (ETA) are issued in accordance with relevant European Assessment Documents (EAD).
