Establishment of the first laboratory for fire resistance testing of construction products in Slovakia, equipped with a chamber for testing vertical building structures, having dimensions of 2 × 2 m.

Foundation of FIRES, s.r.o. as an independent company of six employees.

The first accreditation for testing (SNAS).

Construction of the first horizontal test chamber with the dimensions of 3 × 4 m for fire resistance testing of horizontal construction structures.

Introduction of smoke tightness testing of doors and elementary mechanical performance testing of doors and windows.

Approval of the EGOLF membership for the area of fire resistance testing.

Designation as a notified body for CE certification of products, and the expansion of the scope of reaction to fire testing for the Euroclasses classification.

Commissioning of the second horizontal 3 × 4 m testing chamber.

The first classifications based on the extended application of test results are issued.

Expansion of test laboratory services to include aerodynamic free area testing for heat and smoke exhaust ventilators.

Active participation of FIRES, s.r.o. in the EGOLF testing companies’ association – Štefan Rástocký held the position of the TC2 (Fire Resistance) Technical Committee chairman in EGOLF from 2018 to 2025. In 2026, he was elected a member of the Executive Committee of EGOLF.

Active participation of FIRES, s.r.o. in the EGOLF testing companies’ association includes professional training and the regular participation of the FIRES, s.r.o. personnel in training courses.
