Different roles, one common goal: protecting lives and property

In June 2026, FIRES, s.r.o. had the opportunity to support a practical training exercise for members of the Fire and Rescue Service Poprad focused on emergency door opening.

Practical training under realistic conditions

For the training, we provided installed door assemblies mounted in our testing frame, creating realistic conditions for practical intervention. Firefighters were able to test different emergency opening procedures using the specialised tools and equipment they rely on during real rescue operations.

Opportunities to practise emergency door opening are limited. Yet in emergency situations, the ability to gain rapid access can be crucial when lives or property are at risk. According to the participants, the training provided valuable hands-on experience and an opportunity to practise procedures under realistic conditions.

Supporting those who protect people and property

At FIRES, s.r.o. we are glad that our expertise and testing infrastructure could contribute to activities that support those who protect people and property in emergency situations.

Fire resistance testing and emergency response represent different parts of the same safety chain. One helps verify how construction products perform under fire conditions, while the other helps ensure an effective response when every minute matters.
